We have titled this page “The Salvation of God” because there is no other than that which is laid out in scriptures. God revealed His salvation to us; it is a system of doctrines and power. Religious organizations offer a variety of avenues to Christ. This is not possible, there is but only ONE way! To keep it simple, we exclude all “gospel messages” other than posed by Baptist. Why? All of them are designed with works as a major part of the process. Work salvation, by any percentage, is heretical from the biblical standard of “saved by grace“ alone. With this said, we are not clearing all “gospel messages” offered by Baptist as truth. Unfortunately, just the opposite is true. Much is spewed by men that have taken the name Baptist.
In many of the New Testament books, Paul had to both clean up the mess made by men and reaffirm the biblical way. That is, reaffirming the only way men can be reconciled to God. This we will do, as Satan has tweaked the truth just enough that the Holy Spirit will not use it to save the souls of men. We know that the false gospels are much more popular than the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
What the Gospel is not:
The Death-Burial-Resurrection is not the gospel. It is more like the skeleton of the full gospel. Part of the gospel message does not transform humans from darkness to light. Baptist ministers are notorious for cutting down the gospel message (as well as other doctrines) to an ineffective or unusable size.
The scriptures say, “For everyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The phrase “call upon” does not mean a canned prayer. The infamous “Sinners Prayer” is the perfect example of an abbreviated gospel. It is shortened to mere seconds and expected to produce full faith in Christ. It does NOT work. We hope that no one waits until the judgement to find this out. Currently, Franklin Graham (Billy’s son and heir apparent) includes this prayer in a T.V. commercial, it’s approximately 6.7 seconds!! Countless Southern Baptist and some Independent Baptist include this at the end of their sermonette.

What the Gospel is:
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor. 15: 1-4
Just as Paul said, “according to the scriptures.”
We cannot fiddle with the complete gospel message for convenience sake or try to make it more palatable by dropping the bloody parts or the need for the repentance of sins.
“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24: 45-47
Repentance and Faith are not the same thing. Both must be preached, both must be confessed. Also, repentance and faith do not produce life, the Holy Spirit produces life. Repentance and faith are products of or holy fruits of our new life.
To repent of one’s sins and trust in Jesus as both Lord and Savior of your life, is to know him personally. There must be an interruption in your life where a rebirth occurs. Jesus said “ye must be born again“. This is what the scriptures call regeneration. Regeneration is needed because of the effects of the Adamic nature we are all born with. The depraved human nature was caused by the sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Adam being the Federal head of the human race, passed sin to us. “…as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men.” Romans 5:12
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation which can be read in Genesis 3. The sin of Adam has placed us all in a bad legal standing with God. How bad? We are GUILTY!! We are in need of a Savior that can justify us, or in other words, make us in good legal standing with God. This is what Jesus does for us. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Romans 5:1
God’s salvation bring eternal security that is documented
in the New Testament many times.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.“ John 10: 27-28
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.“1 John 5:11
